Step by step the R.A.W. way!
A lot of work goes into every project I do. Each custom paint job is different, however there are many common steps that are followed. This page offers a step-by-step explanation of a typical project. It also offers some insight as to what you are paying for. After the design has been worked out with the client the "magic" begins. The "magic" however is hours and hours of work. Almost every project requires prep, prime, seal, and base-coat. This is followed by the artwork, then up to 6 layers of clear-coat, and on some jobs, 3 rounds of wet-sanding, 2 types of polishing, and then 3 coats of wax. This is true for 90% of our projects, whether they are guitars, helmets, goalie masks or motorcycle tanks (or whatever else gets dropped off at our doors). Below is a peek behind the curtain into how my projects are completed.
